What to Bring to a Demolition Auction
On demolition auction day, come prepared! Bring everything that you need to make an informed decision on your
purchase. Remember, there are no returns. Once we say sold, it is yours. If you have measurements, swatches of
paint, fabric, tile, floor plans, blueprints, or photographs, then bring them. The more information you have from your
space, the better.
You also need to bring the right tools to properly remove your purchased items. Here are some of the tools that you
might need: ladder, hammer, screwdriver set (including a flat, philips, hex and square), measuring tape, protective gear
(including gloves, eye protection, and a mask or respirator), flashlight, extension cord, utility knife, scissors, set of
pliers, saw (hand and cordless), wrench, crowbar, prybar, towels, and a cordless power tool set (including a drill and
reciprocating saw).
Other tools that you may need to bring are garden tools. If you bid on landscaping material, then you may need a
shovel to dig it up. Also, don't forget that the utilities are usually turned off, so dress accordingly. You don't want to
be stuck in a house that is cold and dark removing hardwood flooring with shorts on. Or have to climb your ladder to
remove that gorgeous chandelier with your heels on. Basically, we want you to come to our auctions PREPARED! We
don't want anyone to get hurt while removing your treasures, just because you didn't bring the right tools.
What to Expect at Auction
Preview and Registration 8 to 9am
This is your time to examine the items that you are
interested in bidding on, so make good use of your
time. Arrive before 8am, so that when we open the
doors, you are ready to start.
Auction Time 9am
Once the demolition auction starts, we will move
from room to room bidding on the items listed for
sale. The more items that are sold and reused,
means less items in our landfills! If there is
something that you want and we don't offer it for you
to bid on, don't be shy ask if it's for sale.
Payment
All purchases are for cash only. No personal
checks or credit cards are accepted. All items must
be paid in FULL before removal.
Removal
All items are to be removed the day of the
demolition auction. Removal shall be at the
expense, risk and liability of the purchaser.
Auction Do's & Don'ts
Do bring plenty of cash. It would also be beneficial to know where the nearest ATM / Bank is located.
Don't take items from the property that you didn't pay for.
Do get to the demolition auction site early. You will want plenty of time to look everything over.
Don't go to the demolition auction site before or after the auction day, this is called trespassing and we do prosecute.
Do bring your own tools.
Don't forget to bring a snack, recycling can be hard work.
Do be prepared to remove your purchases immediately.
